MP backs biodiesel tax break campaign

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a campaign to keep tax breaks for business who produce biodiesel.
Producers transforming cooking oil into biodiesel currently take advantage of a 20p differential however that is due to end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been consulting with the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George said "a variety of small organizations in Cornwall presently earn money from utilized cooking oil".
He included: "In order to have the ability to get this kind of industry going it does require simply a little bit of lift which comes in the form of tax inevitable."
Biodiesel is a mix of traditional diesel, rapeseed and vegetable oils.
